This last month I assembled two fun kits which Brenda's family gave me for my B-day and father's day. One is a bird feeder and the other a water wheel. The bird feeder is in the back yard and gets emptied by the feathery friends in a 24 hour period. Each morning I refill it with black sunflower seeds in the shell. The visiting birds have been jays, sparrows, juncos, finches, and chickadees. To my joy, this morning there was a beautiful Kestrel hawk perched on the fence about 5 feet from the feeder. I don't think it was the sunflower seeds it was interested in eating. It flew off before I could get a photo of it.

Good deal, backyard birding! I quit filling Norma's feeder after one season (so far) of woodpeckers working on my trees and back porch! Probably had nothing to do with it, however.
wow, a hawk! grant would have loved that.
How neat. You are really good at assembling various projects. The water wheel looks really cool.
We've been seeing a group of hawks above our neighborhood. Don't they usually hang out alone?
W're so glad you had fun with those!
Shouldn't there be some dinosaurs in the background of the windmill? (See Jurfonator's last post.)
